Who Are We?
We are a 501c3 organization committed to engaging the youth in our community and developing them into active leaders who bring about change. Established in 1982 in the East Garfield Park Community, Family Cares Mission has been a source of hope for nearly three decades. We have brought about radical solutions to youth unemployment, disengagement, and literacy by providing job opportunities, after school tutoring, college readiness seminars, public speaking sessions, and more intensive training to prepare our youth to arise as engaged leaders in their community. Additionally, we have established lasting relationships with community based organizations to ensure safety and positive recreational activities for the youth in our community. While, youth are the priority of our focus, we also extend our services to families, providing food, community outreach events, and seminars on issues that impact them.
